Privacy Protocol
How we protect your data and your pet's biosecurity records during international transit.
Last Revision: March 21, 2026
1. Commitment to Privacy
At Pet Travel Guide, we recognize that your pet's relocation data—including microchip IDs, vaccination records, and owner location history—is highly sensitive. Our 2026 Privacy Protocol is built on the principles of Data Minimization and End-to-End Encryption.
As a global compliance engine, we stay ahead of GDPR, CCPA, and evolving animal health data regulations to ensure your move remains seamless and secure.
2. Data We Collect
Pet Biosecurity Data
- • ISO Microchip Identification
- • Rabies Vaccination Sequences
- • Titer Test Results
- • Clinical Health Certificates
Owner Information
- • Passport/ID Verification (for customs)
- • Flight & Transit Itineraries
- • Destination Residence Mapping
- • Contact Synchronization
3. International Sharing
To facilitate your move, we share specific data points with vetted third parties:
- Government Authorities: Customs and Quarantine stations (e.g., DEFRA, USDA, AQS) for permit issuance.
- Logistics Partners: Airlines and IATA-certified pet shippers for flight compliance.
- Veterinary Providers: Our global network for destination health checks.
Notice for 2026 Travel:
Certain EU and Australian regulations now require direct API synchronization of pet health records. By using our compliance engine, you authorize this necessary data transfer.4. Security & Retention
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using AES-256 protocols. We retain biosecurity records for 24 months post-relocation to assist in cases of post-arrival health checks, after which they are automatically purged unless you choose to archive them in your Pet Travel Guide vault.
5. Protocol Updates
We periodically update this protocol to reflect changes in global biosecurity laws. Significant changes will be communicated via your dashboard and registered email address.
